29,527 Kaiser co-workers signed petitions to join NUHW. It's our right under federal law to choose which union we want to represent us.
We'll keep our raises and benefits. The government issued a notice on Aug. 27 that the raises and benefits in our contract will be protected by law when we vote to join NUHW.
Under SEIU, our benefits are NOT guaranteed. SEIU's new contract includes a health benefits takeaway committee that will cut what Kaiser pays for our healthcare.
The Obama Administration's National Labor Relations Board is overseeing our election, and will mail ballots to our homes.
For more than 20 years, the leaders and staff of NUHW helped Kaiser workers negotiate the best wages and benefits in California's healthcare industry.
