Your Ballot
Our election is supervised and protected by the federal government. Our elections are supervised and protected by the federal government. On October 18, the NLRB will mail official ballots to co-workers in the Medical Social Worker, Optical, and Integrated Behavioral Health Services units.
Your ballot packet will include:
- Voting instructions
- Your ballot, with choices for NUHW, SEIU, or Neither
- A secret ballot envelope to keep your choice private
- A return envelope to send your ballot back to be counted.
Your vote is private—do not let anyone else handle your ballot or promise to mail it for you. It is against the law for union representatives to take or handle your ballot.
To cast your ballot for NUHW, follow the included instructions carefully. Here's how to vote for NUHW:
- Mark the NUHW box on you ballot in pen. NUHW will be the first choice on the ballot. Do not make any other marks on the ballot page.
- Place your marked ballot into the secret ballot envelope and seal it. Do not make any marks on the secret ballot envelope.
- Take the secret ballot envelope that now contains your marked ballot, and place it inside the return mailing envelope. Seal the return envelope and sign it where indicated.
- Put your vote in the mail immediately to make sure it arrives in time to be counted.
